Everton have the option to make Grealish’s move permanent by paying Manchester City £50 million, but it is uncertain they will avail that option after his injury blow

According to The Athletic, Everton have shown an interest in a loan deal for Chelsea’s Tyrique George

But they face competition from clubs in England and Europe for the talented youngster.

George joined Chelsea’s academy at the age of eight, and progressed through the ranks to earn his competitive debut in the Conference League against Servette in 2024.

He has made 37 appearances across all competitions, with six goals and six assists to his name.

But the 19-year-old has fallen down the pecking order after a host of attacking signings last summer.

He has made only four substitute appearances in the Premier League this season.

Chelsea were open to sanctioning a permanent exit for George in the previous window, and he nearly joined Fulham for £22m.

The Blues are exploring loan options for the winger, and Everton have shown an interest in him.

George is a versatile forward who can lead the attack and also play on the two wings.

He is highly rated for his blistering pace, dribbling skills and technical ability.

Everton are yet to make a new signing this winter, with just days remaining in the transfer window.

They have enjoyed a strong start to the new season, and currently sit 10th in the Premier League table with 33 points from 23 matches

But Grealish’s injury leaves them short of options in attack, and hence they are in the market for a new forward.
