The 23-year-old has been lighting up the Isthmian League North this season, helping Brentwood Town to the league title.

As such, a host of League Two clubs are now circling the prolific centre-forward ahead of a potential summer transfer swoop.

Crewe, Fleetwood Town, Colchester United and Bromley have all registered their interest in Brentwood Town forward Daniel Ogunleye, sources have exclusively told Football League World.

The striker has fired home 43 goals and 13 assists for the eighth tier side so far this season, and is the Isthmian League North's top scorer with 36 goals.

We've been told that due to the close proximity of Colchester and Bromley to Brentwood Town in particular, those two clubs have been watching Ogunleye heavily this season.

It was revealed by Echosport in January of this year that the young forward had spent time training with National League side Southend United too, as clubs higher up the pyramid have evidently begun to catch wind of his superb season and his talent.

As per his player profile on Brentwood Town's club website, Ogunleye was with his current club at the age of 12, before signing with Southampton, and then moving on to Forest Green Rovers.

Ogunleye describes himself as a 'tricky forward who enjoys scoring and creating goals for the team' - that should be music to any interested club's ears.

Out of the four clubs named as having registered their interest in the forward, it's currently Crewe who have scored the least amount of goals in League Two this season, with 49 after 44 games.

As such, they could make the case for themselves being the most in-need of some extra firepower this summer, but in truth, Fleetwood, Bromley and Colchester should all still view Ogunleye as having the potential to be a real gem of a signing that could benefit their respective squads massively.

The young centre-forward clearly has a lethal eye for goal, something that can't always be trained, and given the level he's currently playing at, it wouldn't cost a fortune to go and take a roll of the dice on him either.

Therefore, it will be fascinating to see who out of Crewe, Fleetwood, Bromley and Colchester, and possibly another unnamed club, makes the first move for Ogunleye this summer.
