The same can be said at academy level where Liverpool have bolstered their options with some exciting new signings like Armin Pecsi and Will Wright.

Meanwhile there have also been some departures like Isaac Moran, who joined Newcastle United.

Not to mention Liverpool's U21s appointed a new head coach in Rob Page as did the club's U18 side, who appointed Simon Wiles from Manchester United.

And Liverpool also signed a bunch of new players to scholarship deals.

Among those players was a highly rated youngster in Haydn Murray-Holme, who caught the eye at U16 level last season.

Murray-Holme signed his deal with the club that will confirm his status as a Liverpool player for the next two years and this will earn him a promotion at the club, which means he will start the campaign with the U18s.

The attacking midfielder is highly rated by Liverpool and the club's academy expert Lewis Bower exclusively told Anfield Watch that he sees his style of play as similar to that of Kevin De Bruyne.

"I would say Haydn, Murray-Holme. He's a midfielder, a really technical player. Probably should have been promoted already. He has such a good eye for a pass. There's a perfect weight on his passes, whether that would be from deep to isolate his winger, or in the final third, he has really good touches. He can use any part of his foot with flicks little pokes around the corner to be able to find plays that you, you don't really think are possible.
