L’Équipe reports that Danish attacker William Bøving is poised to move to the Bundesliga. GGFN can now confirm that Mainz 05 will acquire their long targeted player. The Rheinhessen will also score the 22-year-old at a bargain price. The €8m-valued Bøving will move to Mainz on a €4.5m transfer.
Bøving – who can serve as a centre-forward, short striker, and even a winger – counts as an excellent addition to Danish head coach Bo Henriksen’s squad. Mainz have now compensated for the loss of Jonathan Burkardt by signing two flexible attackers in Bøving and Union Berlin’s Benedict Hollerbach.
The Mainz administrative team of Sporting CEO Christian Heidel and sporting director Nico Bungert have also now managed another cost-effective coup. Earlier today, Japanese midfielder Sota Kawasaki was secured on loan at a bargain basement price.
Kawasaki – a €1.5m-valued player – only cost the Palatinate club a €200,000 loan fee.
