Fleetwood Town v Luton Town, Saturday 15:00: Back Fleetwood and BTTS @ 5/1

Luton might have other priorities than an FA Cup second round fixture at Fleetwood, with the bigger picture for Jack Wilshere's sdie their aim to return to the Championship.

Backing Luton at 3/4 is far from attractive and, while I toyed with a DNB on the hosts, I do think there could be goals here with Fleetwood's excellent record of scoring at home - they've found the net in their last 10 fixtures and one of those was the FA Cup first round tie versus Barnet.

Digging deeper, the Cod Army have been excellent at home with just one defeat all season and with Luton's near-defeat against Forest Green in the previous round (they scraped a 4-3), the 5/1 on a Fleetwood win and BTTS looks worth more than a second glance.

MK Dons v Oldham Athletic, Saturday 15:00: Back MK Dons and BTTS 'Yes' @ 3/1

Paul Warne's men from Milton Keynes are another who will prioritise getting out of their division and, with a third spot in League Two, they are charting a steady course.

I still think they should be good enough to win this as Oldham are way down in 16th in the table, sandwiched in between north west duo Tranmere and Accrington.

While goals are often in short supply with the Latics on the road, the Dons are much more healthy with an xG at home of 1.31 and a record of F18 A10 at the Stadium MK. Five from their last nine have hit the BTTS target too at home and Oldham have won more on the road than at home.

Grimsby Town v Wealdstone, Saturday 15:00: Back Grimsby -2 @ 16/5

It'll probably be time to wheel out the Wealdstone Raider for the weekend, although whether he fancies it against a bracing sea is another matter.

Grimsby are a most curious beast - they can often play some super stuff and goals are never far away, but I cannot believe a side that has a swagger sometimes is down in mid-table.

The goals market is covered here with no gifts in the prices, as Grimsby have scored a massive 32 this term, but the Grimsby win will do for me to cover the -2 in the Alternative Handicap. They comfortably brushed aside Ebbsfleet in the previous round 3-1 thanks to a Danny Rose double, and they should have too much for the ninth in the National League Wealdstone.

Sunday FA Cup tips

Boreham Wood v Newport County, Sunday 14:30: Back Boreham Wood/Boreham Wood @ 9/5

Newport's demise has been a sorry tale this term. Their numbers are atrocious with no home wins and just 18 goals scored in 18 games as the bottom club in two.

I don't live a million miles away from Boreham Wood, but I'd like to, as it's far from Las Vegas, although Matt Rush has slotted into Boreham Wood with ease this term with 13 goals in 22. His high energy game and hard-working running was one of the main reasons Luke Garrard wanted him and he's a key man this weekend.

Newport's xG away of 1.13 shouldn't trouble the hosts, who are flying at home this season with eight wins and a goals record of F18 A9. Such is the strength of the National League that the hosts here are odds-on at 8/11 for the win against a League Two side.

That is a perfectly acceptable bet, but the 6/5 on the HT/FT is better, and Newport are so poor, Boreham Wood will be revved up for this.

Gateshead v Walsall, Sunday 15:30: Back Daniel Kanu Anytime Scorer @ 1/1

Walsall often provide great entertainment. They have netted 28 times this season and top League Two with 35 points.

Eastleigh could have provided more of a test on paper in the previous round for Mat Sadler, but it was an easy win for Walsall 0-3 despite having only 36% of possession.

Interestingly, Eastleigh won the corner count 7-4 in that with all the possession so that is something to perhaps alert those that enjoy the auxillary markets, but Daniel Kanu got one of the goals v Eastleigh and he is eight in 16 so far this term and looks more of a bet at evens than the 40/85 on the Walsall win.

Blackpool v Carlisle United, Sunday 17:30: Back Carlisle to win @ 5/2

I put up Carlisle's Regan Linney to score in their FA Cup 1st round match at Reading - and score he did! He didn't even start yet banged in a hat-trick to take his tally to the season to 15.

Linney is an obvious bet again, but it was astonishing that Mark Hughes didn't start him, although with the Cumbrians going so well in the National League, I can see his view.

Hughes surely has to start a full strength eleven here? I messaged a friend who covers non-league whether Hughes will go for it here and we both agreed that with a big money tie potentially in the next round and the chance for Hughes to rest players after Sunday could be too good an opportunity.

Blackpool have a new managed in Ian Evatt but their form is still worrying and in three games are LDL and were brushed aside easily by Reading 0-3 recently.
