Leeds United have named a strong side for today’s FA Cup fourth round at Birmingham City, with Facundo Buonanotte handed his full debut and James Justin captaining for the first time. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Daniel Farke confirmed the XI before kick-off.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin returns from illness on a powerful bench. Winger Dan James is not in the matchday squad.
Farke makes six changes from Tuesday night’s Premier League trip to Chelsea, with Lucas Perri starting in goal. Sean Longstaff, Ao Tanaka, Willy Gnonto, Noah Okafor and Buonanotte also come in. Joel Piroe is on the bench, while Lukas Nmecha again leads the line.
Justin, Gabi Gudmundsson, Jaka Bijol, Sebastiaan Bornauw and Nmecha keep their places. Karl Darlow, Bogle, Rodon, Ethan Ampadu and Aaronson drop to the bench.
Pascal Struijk and Anton Stach miss out as they continue to recover from hip injuries. Farke said no player would be risked if there were doubts, with Premier League survival the priority and Aston Villa away next Saturday.
Birmingham boss Chris Davies also makes six changes, giving first starts to Jonathan Panzo and August Priske.
