Daniel Farke says he is “carefully optimistic” that Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be available for Leeds’ trip to Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The striker, who has scored ten league goals for Leeds this season, missed the FA Cup win over Norwich City but Farke says he has since returned to training.
But Noah Okafor is unlikely to be involved having not trained on Friday.
“Two doubts for this game,” Farke said. “Dominic was obviously out for a few days but he was, in the last couple of days, back in team training.
“Right now, we have to wait to see how his body reacts but I’m carefully optimistic to have him available for the game, but there is still a doubt over how body his reacts.
“Noah, yesterday was, for the first time, with us back in full team training.
“Today he missed out due to some reported problems with his hip.
“We still have 48 hours but at the moment it’s a doubt that he’s available. He’s definitely a major doubt.”
