Tottenham, one of Leeds United’s relegation rivals, are facing a selection squeeze for Anfield on Sunday, with concussion protocols, a suspension and muscle problems depleting Igor Tudor’s options.

Leeds sit 15th, three points above the drop and two ahead of Tottenham. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, João Palhinha and Christian Romero will miss sixth-placed Liverpool due to concussion protocols, with Micky van de Ven suspended and Yves Bissouma sidelined by a muscle issue.

Tudor said Conor Gallagher has a fever but will probably be available, and described constant setbacks at the club as very rare in his career, citing red cards and three or four injuries disrupting plans. He added they must accept what they cannot change and focus only on what can be altered.

He could not give a firm return date for Palhinha or Romero, and hopes to have them back either for the midweek Champions League tie with Atletico Madrid or the following weekend’s relegation meeting with Nottingham Forest.

On other fitness concerns, he said Destiny Udogie is almost back and offered no further update on Lucas Bergvall, Mohammed Kudus or Dejan Kulusevski.

Spurs have lost six in a row and have not won a Premier League match since December 28. Leeds visit Tottenham Stadium on nine May.
