FC Barcelona will lock horns with FC Copenhagen tomorrow in the final matchday of the league phase of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League.
Currently ninth in the table, the Blaugrana need to secure a big win tomorrow against the Danish outfit and hope that results elsewhere go their way so as to secure a top-eight finish.
However, Copenhagen manager Jacob Neestrup made it clear that they will not make it easy for Barcelona and have plans to battle Hansi Flick’s team.
“We’ve already played against tough opponents, like Bayern, and now we face Barça,” he said.
“Barça is a top team, with great attackers. It doesn’t matter who starts. The most important thing will be to be well-organised, keep a tight defence, and stay on top of the ball,” he added.
“In football, there are always possibilities, it will depend on our performance,” said Neestrup, who in recent weeks has been linked with several Bundesliga clubs.

The Copenhagen coach confirmed that he has a plan to try to stop Lamine Yamal, saying: “Lamine is a great player. Many coaches have tried to stop him, and it’s impossible. We have a plan for Lamine, but the main objective is to reach our best level.”
Neestrup also had words of praise for Barcelona winger Roony Bardghji, who joined the Catalans from Copenhagen last summer.
“He’s performing very well, he’s progressed incredibly these last few months. We’re very happy for him. He’s already shown that he has a great character and great talent,” he commented.
Concluding, Neestrup expressed confidence in his team’s chances, saying: “We’ll have to be skillful defensively, make the most of our strengths, and then try to play the ball well. I won’t have any problem being defensive.”
