Leeds United could have Jack Harrison back in the summer, with Fiorentina currently unconvinced about a permanent deal.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Serie A side are not minded to trigger a £6m right to buy and, as things stand, the winger would return to West Yorkshire. Harrison joined on a six-month loan in January.

He had barely featured for Leeds before then, starting once in a 1-0 defeat at Burnley and making 10 substitute outings without a goal or assist.

In Florence he has 13 appearances, seven starts and one assist in a 2-2 draw with Torino, but no goals. The report says survival would automatically activate clauses worth about €27m, squeezing the summer budget. They remain in a survival fight, two places and two points above Lecce with eight games left.

That financial picture leaves a call to make on two wide loanees whose options are not automatic. Manor Solomon, a 2024/25 Championship title-winner who joined in January, has two goals in 11 and is described as an ideal candidate if fitness issues clear.

The report adds that, unless there is a sudden change of direction, Harrison will not sign permanently and would head back to Elland Road with two years left on his contract.

He was replaced in the Leeds squad by Facundo Buonanotte, who cut short his Chelsea loan to join Daniel Farke’s side on a temporary deal until the summer, but the Argentinian has barely featured.
