Flamengo close to clearing club debt after sharp reduction

According to Coluna Do Fla, Flamengo published their 2025 financial results on Tuesday, reporting record revenue of R$ 2.089 billion and a sharp cut in operational debt.
The club ended 2024 with R$ 344 million owed, linked to the Gasômetro stadium land purchase. In Luiz Eduardo Baptista’s first year in charge, that fell to R$ 174 million, a R$ 170 million reduction.
Recent year-end debt totals were as follows. 2019 R$ 513 million, 2020 R$ 643 million, 2021 R$ 321 million, 2022 R$ 250 million, 2023 R$ 53 million, 2024 R$ 344 million, 2025 R$ 174 million.
On the pitch, 2025 delivered six trophies, off it the club generated major income from player trading and prize money. Player sales brought in R$ 519 million, while spending on signings reached R$ 636 million.
Flamengo now prepare to face Red Bull Bragantino on Thursday 02 at 21:30 Brasília time, at Estádio Cicero de Souza Marques, in the ninth round of the Brasileirão.
