Flamengo congratulate Corinthians on Supercopa do Brasil win after 2-0 in Brasília

Flamengo have congratulated Corinthians after they lifted the Supercopa do Brasil with a 2-0 win.

The Rio club said in a post that they respected the work done and sent congratulations to the players, coaching staff, club professionals and supporters, publishing the message on Monday morning.

The one-off final at Mané Garrincha in Brasília ended 2-0 to Corinthians. Centre-back Gabriel Paulista struck in the first half, then Yuri Alberto sealed it in stoppage time by lifting the ball over keeper Rossi and heading in.

The Supercopa matched the 2025 national champions. Corinthians qualified by winning the Copa do Brasil against Vasco da Gama, while Flamengo advanced as last season’s Campeonato Brasileiro champions.

With the trophy secured, Corinthians turn to the rest of 2026. On Thursday, 5 February, Dorival Júnior’s side host Capivariano at 20:30 at Neo Química Arena in the sixth round of the Campeonato Paulista.
