Flamengo missing three for Libertadores visit to Independiente Medellín

Flamengo face Independiente Medellín in the Libertadores group stage on Thursday, with head coach Leonardo Jardim missing three players.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the absentees are Erick Pulgar, Lucas Paquetá and Arrascaeta. Pulgar is treating an acromioclavicular joint injury in his right shoulder, Paquetá is recovering from swelling in his left thigh, while Arrascaeta is in post-operative care after surgery to repair a fracture of his right clavicle.

Flamengo have no players currently one booking from suspension in the Libertadores. They therefore face no risk of losing anyone for matchday five unless through a straight red card.

The fourth-round tie takes place at Estádio El Atanasio in Colombia, with kick-off at 21.30, Brasília time.

The match will be broadcast live on ESPN, the subscription channel, and on Disney+ Premium via streaming.
