Flamengo have a 10-day break before their next Brasileirão match, with the squad to return at Ninho do Urubu on Friday after a 1-1 draw with Internacional on Wednesday 29 in round 21.

Form remains a concern, yet opponents still reference the reigning champions. After a refereeing dispute in Vitória’s match against Palmeiras on Wednesday 29, club president Fábio Mota mentioned Flamengo while venting his frustration.

On Tuesday 28, football director José Boto met William Bento, the representative of forward Luiz Henrique, a development that stirred the market.

Bento later issued a statement via the player’s channels saying Luiz Henrique is focused on the Russian league and remains a Zenit player.
