Flamengo’s latest round-up, as the team prepare to face Botafogo in the Carioca, features ticketing updates, a youth departure and a tribute to Adriano.

Flamengo are set to contest another decider in 2026. According to Coluna Do Fla, the club will open sales for the Recopa Sudamericana second leg against Lanús on Thursday 12 at 16:00 Brasília time.

As usual, sales follow the membership hierarchy, so general sale will start only next Thursday 19.

Flamengo have parted with another academy player. On Tuesday 10, Swiss side Lugano announced the signing of centre-back João Carbone, who converted the decisive penalty in last year’s Under-20 Club World Cup final against Barcelona, sealing the title.

Now 21, Carbone had aged out of the under-20s and was not in Filipe Luís’ plans. He was under contract until December 2026, so the club moved quickly, aware he could sign a free pre-contract from mid-year.

On Wednesday 11, Inter Milan used their social channels to pay tribute to Adriano. The former Flamengo youth product visited the Italian club’s trophy room to revisit his honours.
