Flamengo have set out Agustín Rossi’s short-term future, keeping the goalkeeper as undisputed first choice despite interest during the World Cup pause. According to Coluna Do Fla, the club do not plan to sell mid-season and would only consider a very favourable offer alongside an immediate replacement.
River Plate made an enquiry about Rossi as a possible successor to 21-year-old Santiago Beltrán. Besiktas of Türkiye are also monitoring the situation, having had a bid rejected at the start of 2026.
Rossi joined Flamengo in July 2023 on a free transfer after signing a pre-contract while at Boca Juniors. He is under contract until December 2027.
The Argentine has made 173 appearances for Flamengo, keeping 81 clean sheets. His honours include three Cariocas, one Brasileiro, one Copa do Brasil, one Libertadores and one Supercopa do Brasil.
With the World Cup ongoing, Rossi and Flamengo players not called up are on holiday. The squad will report back on 19 June at the Ninho do Urubu training centre.
Flamengo plan a mid-season camp in Portugal, featuring three friendlies against Falkirk, Birmingham and Benfica.
