Flamengo ‘to consider’ bid for Botafogo midfielder Danilo | OneFootball

According to Coluna Do Fla, Flamengo have shown interest in Botafogo midfielder Danilo and are assessing whether to table an offer. The Rio club are monitoring his situation and, for now, no formal bid has been made.

Danilo joined Botafogo in the last window from Nottingham Forest. He has since been a regular in midfield. Botafogo have already rejected offers from European sides, and the 24-year-old is under contract until July 2029.

In this window, Flamengo have added two players, centre-back Vitão from Internacional and Andrew from Gil Vicente in Portugal.

Their primary target remains Lucas Paquetá of West Ham. The Rubro-Negro are preparing to formalise a proposal to bring the academy product back.

Away from transfers, Flamengo begin their 2026 campaign on Wednesday 21 against Vasco in the third round of the Carioca. Kick-off is 21:30 Brasília time at the Maracanã.
