West Ham ‘to keep’ Lucas Paquetá until June as Flamengo fans oppose June return | OneFootball

According to Coluna Do Fla, West Ham are willing to sell Lucas Paquetá to Flamengo, but he would not arrive before June. A majority of fans polled do not want a June arrival.

The English club have asked that the midfielder stay on loan in England until at least June. A poll recorded 371 responses, 61 percent opposed a June move, while 237, 38 percent, were in favour, accepting a return only in the second half of the year.

Flamengo intend to pay 40 million euros, R$ 252 million, comprising 35 million euros fixed and 5 million euros in bonuses tied to contractual targets.

Paquetá’s priority is to return to Flamengo. He has agreed salary terms and will sign a four-year deal, with the focus now on securing his release from West Ham.

While talks continue, Flamengo turn to the Vasco match on Wednesday 21 in the third round of the Campeonato Carioca. Kick-off is 21:30 Brasília time at the Maracanã.
