Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has this week set tongues wagging across the world of football.

This comes amid confirmation that the Spanish patron plans to spearhead a market-shaking offer for one of the game’s very best players next week.

Pérez sat down for an interview with Horizonte on Thursday evening, during which he was surprisingly open regarding his plans for the summer transfer window.

After confirming that deals are in place for all of José Mourinho, Ibrahima Konaté and Denzel Dumfries, the 79-year-old saved his bombshell announcement for last.

Asked whether further signings should be expected in the case of his continuation at the Bernabéu being confirmed, Pérez revealed:

“I will send a €150M bid on Tuesday for a top player from a Champions League team.”

Pressed further on the identity of the mystery player, the Spaniard then added:

“The bid will be for a Cristiano Ronaldo or Kaká-level player. He’s a Galáctico!”
