The international break is no fun, let’s face it. You can try to distract yourself with Brazil highlights or whatever you want, ultimately you’re all waiting for the real stuff to come back.
Better than the usual nonsense however was the Chelsea Legends game at Stamford Bridge against their Liverpool equivalents.
The Blues may have lost, but it was a glorious day out at Stamford Bridge full of nostalgia and good times.
Who better to talk about it than known good vibes merchant Joe Cole. He spoke to the club’s official website about what a laugh it all was.
Eden Hazard back at Stamford Bridge.
“It was great to be back,” the ex-Chelsea winger said to the club’s official website, having also caught up with some Liverpool players from his time there.
“I had a great time seeing everyone, catching up, seeing some old faces. The weather was good, people were out having a good time.”
“It was just great to see everyone. Some of those fans have probably seen all these generations of players, from Marcel [Desailly] right the way through to Eden [Hazard].
“So it was nice. It was nostalgic for people and it was great for us to come and see everyone.”
We got to see Eden Hazard doing rabonas and dribbling the ball on his head in the warmup, Diego Costa fighting with Martin Skrtel… what more could you ask for!
And it was all for a good cause too, that’s the most important part. The Chelsea Foundation is what really matters.
Whether you enjoyed the fun and games or not, the good news is that it’s now Monday, and we play in the Saturday early kick off… not long to wait.
