Fortuna Düsseldorf are set to sign Marin Ljubicic from Union Berlin. The relegation-threatened 2. Bundesliga side have seen off promotion hopefuls Schalke to land the 23-year-old striker.
According to Sky, the medical is scheduled for Friday, and Fortuna hope to have him available for Sunday’s match against Paderborn.

Ljubicic did not feature in the first half of the campaign, and has only played twice for Union this season, scoring late equalisers against Mainz and Augsburg.
Union are only considering loan deals without an option to buy.
Since arriving as Sporting CEO last month, Sven Mislintat has already brought in Satoshi Tanaka and Jordi Paulina.
