Real Madrid and Olympique Marseille nearly did a deal for Dani Ceballos to move to Ligue 1 on loan in the summer, and the French giants are now one of several sides interested in another of their players. Brazilian forward Endrick Felipe remains a question mark under Xabi Alonso, after recovering from his injury last month.

The 19-year-old forward is one of three players that have not been used by Alons this season, alongside back-up goalkeeper Andriy Lunin and left-back Ferland Mendy, who only returned to fitness this week. Endrick returned to the bench on the 20th of September against Espanyol, but remained there for the following four fixtures against Levante, Atletico Madrid, Kairat Almaty and Villarreal, seeing no game time.

Olympique Marseille enquire about Endrick move

According to ESPN, French giants Marseille have enquired about a potential January loan move for Endrick. They also say that it is not the only contact they have received for Endrick either, and they expect to have further contacts of that nature. This follows on from the summer, when Los Blancos suggested to Endrick that he may be better off seeking game time elsewhere on loan this season. The teenage forward insisted on fighting for his place under Alonso though, after a season where he was used sparingly by Carlo Ancelotti.

The same outlet continue on to say that Endrick and his camp believe it is not a question for now, and that it should be considered further down the line.

Endrick and Gonzalo Garcia Torres battle

The coming two months before the Christmas break should provide a better understanding of where Alonso sees Endrick in his plans. The emergence of Gonzalo Garcia Torres at the Club World Cup has provided competition for the rare occasions when Kylian Mbappe is not being used as the number nine. It seems unlikely that both Endrick and Garcia will receive sufficient minutes to continue developing this season.
