FC Barcelona is on the verge of reaching an agreement with Frenkie de Jong to extend his contract until June 2029. According to reports from Sport, a verbal agreement has already been reached, and the final formalities are being ironed out before the definitive signing.

Currently tied to the Catalan club until next June, the Dutch midfielder is set to continue his adventure with the Blaugrana, with the news already internally approved by club management.
