Flamengo had six players involved for their countries during the last FIFA window before the World Cup, with Lucas Paquetá supplying a goal and an assist. According to Coluna Do Fla, the club’s internationals featured across a slate of warm-up friendlies.

Brazil faced Panama and Egypt and included four members of the Flamengo squad. Léo Pereira played 135 minutes, Danilo 119, Lucas Paquetá 90 and Alex Sandro 65.

Beyond Carlo Ancelotti’s call-ups, others from the squad were also on duty. Carrascal featured for Colombia against Costa Rica and Jordan, totalling 72 minutes, while Gonzalo Plata played 17 minutes for Ecuador versus Guatemala and Saudi Arabia.

In Uruguay, Flamengo are represented by De La Cruz, Arrascaeta and Varela. However, the Celeste chose not to schedule friendlies close to the tournament.

The World Cup begins on Thursday 11. Brazil start the Flamengo involvement on Saturday 13 at 19:00 Brasília time against Morocco at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Ecuador play Ivory Coast on Sunday 14 at 20:00 Brasília time, followed by Uruguay’s opener on Monday 15 at 15:00 against Saudi Arabia. Colombia start on Tuesday 17 June against Uzbekistan at 23:00 Brasília time.
