Gabigol has ranked Flamengo’s 2019 Copa Libertadores above his Olympic gold with Brazil. According to Coluna Do Fla, the Santos forward chose the club triumph when asked to pick between the two.

After a brief pause, he named the2019 Libertadores, suggesting his standout career moment so far came with Flamengo.

Before that, he was part of the squad that won Olympic gold at the Maracanã in 2016, lifting the title alongside Neymar.

In 2019 he was the hero as Flamengo beat River Plate in Lima, scoring both goals in a late comeback. Jorge Jesus' side ended a 38-year wait for the continental trophy.

Gabigol joined Flamengo in 2019 and left in 2025 after his contract was not renewed, departing with titles and records. The report also says he then continued his career at Cruzeiro.

After the 2025 season he returned to Santos, where he came through the youth ranks, playing 12 times with seven goals and two assists.
