Galatasaray and Juventus are both monitoring Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu, with any potential move for the Turkish international now firmly pushed back to the summer.

The Istanbul giants continue to track Calhanoglu closely after a deal failed to materialise earlier this season, with reports via FCInter1908.

At the time, Galatasaray had reached an understanding with the player, but Inter’s €30 million valuation proved decisive.

Having already committed significant funds elsewhere, the Turkish club were unable to meet the Nerazzurri’s demands and stepped away from negotiations.

Inter Stand Firm Over Calhanoglu In January As Galatasaray & Juventus Eye Summer Swoop

That position has not changed in January.

Inter have no intention of allowing Calhanoglu to leave midway through the season.

Particularly given his importance in midfield and his strong performances in the first half of the campaign.

The experienced midfielder remains a central figure in Cristian Chivu’s system.

Attention has therefore shifted to the summer.

Galatasaray are expected to renew their push once Calhanoglu enters the final year of his contract.

Indeed, it is a scenario that could reduce Inter’s asking price.

Reports suggest the Turkish side believe a fee closer to €15 million could become realistic under those conditions.

Juventus are also keeping a close eye on the situation, adding domestic competition to Galatasaray’s interest.

Off the pitch, personal factors may also play a role, with Calhanoglu’s family open to a return to Turkey.

For now, however, Inter remain calm. January is closed, and any serious developments are expected only once the season draws to a close.
