AC Milan suffered another disappointing defeat as Torino prevailed by two goals to one last night. As highlighted by the newspapers this morning, the Champions League race is now increasingly difficult for Sergio Conceicao’s men.

Torino took the lead early on after an own-goal by Malick Thiaw, though it was really Mike Maignan’s fault as he booted the ball straight at the defender. Milan had their chances after that, but Christian Pulisic missed a penalty and when the earlier did arrive from Tijjani Reijnders, they conceded immediately after.

Today’s newspapers highlighted the gravity of the situation, especially since yesterday’s clash was an opportunity to move within three points of Lazio with a game in hand. The individual errors are costing the Rossoneri dearly and ultimately, it might cost them a spot in next season’s UCL.
