Gavi renews at Barcelona until 2030 – here’s everything you need to know | OneFootball

Barcelona dropped the news earlier on today that they had agreed their fourth contract renewal for a player in a fairly short period of time. This time around the player in question is Gavi.

Gavi has signed an extension until 2030, just like his teammate Pedri, but what other details are included in the contract?

Most interestingly, as per COPE, the contract includes a release clause of €1 Billion, securing Gavi’s future at the Catalan club well into the future.

Although unconfirmed, it is also likely that the renewal brings Gavi’s wage up in line with Pedri’s to over €200,000 per week, making him one of the top-paid players at the club.

Barcelona fans will be ecstatic to see this renewal, and for good reason; Gavi is a true graduate of La Masia and has shown plenty of promise across his four seasons with the senior side.

Despite a long-term injury keeping Gavi out for almost a year not too long ago, Gavi still remains one of the most promising prospects in European football, and at just 20 years old, he still has plenty of time to improve.
