Gonçalo Ramos is closing in on a move to AC Milan that would be the club’s most expensive signing, with negotiations advanced and a fee of 53 to 55 million euros under discussion, according to Superdeporte.
Milan are planning a major overhaul after missing out on the UEFA Champions League, having started by appointing Portuguese coach Rubén Amorin to lead the project.
Reinforcing the forward line is viewed as urgent, and the 25-year-old Paris Saint-Germain striker has emerged as the primary target for the Italian club.
Ramos is to leave PSG in search of more minutes. He had an important role under Luis Enrique but was not an undisputed starter, a status Milan envisage for him.
In Milan he would link up with compatriot Rubén Amorin, who is understood to be a key backer of the move.
