Nottingham Forest find themselves in turbulent waters less than two months into the season, with owner Evangelos Marinakis reportedly growing increasingly frustrated at the club’s poor start and already discussing potential replacements.
Marinakis is so upset by the run of results that he has been exploring shock options, including former Premier League manager Graham Potter, should Ange Postecoglou be removed, according to Teamtalk.
Postecoglou has struggled to get results since taking over at Forest, and insiders say the owner is questioning the decision to replace Nuno Espírito Santo, a choice that now looks costly.
Forest are without a league win since the managerial change, and that has only amplified Marinakis’ frustration as the side slips down the table.
Potter, on the other hand, was sacked by West Ham United last month and replace by Nuno after his departure from Forest.
The former Brighton and Chelsea manager struggled to make an impact at West Ham and it became clear that his time will at the club would not last long.
Potter’s name has surfaced in conversations, a surprising development given his recent exit from West Ham and a mixed spell at Chelsea, but that is precisely why sources believe Marinakis is weighing him as a potential emergency fix.

Marinakis has a track record of making swift managerial calls, and the decision to move on from Nuno is starting to haunt him.
Forest’s current malaise is less about a single bad week and more about the collision of expectation, ownership impatience and poor form.
While it’s premature to assume Postecoglou will be sacked this minute, the ingredients that typically precede a change are present, wobbly results, an impatient owner and available managerial names.
If given the opportunity, Potter would have the chance to prove himself after a failed spell at West Ham.
