Luís Castro's Grêmio were beaten 4-2 by Inter in the Gre-Nal, the fifth round of the Gauchão. Goalkeeper Weverton and right-back Marcos Rocha received the lowest marks.

According to Globo.com, Weverton's misjudged charge from his line for an Inter goal overshadowed several good saves, while Rocha left space in his channel and also put through his own net.

Centre-back Noriega laboured against Inter's pace but did not, on his own, undermine Grêmio's display. Wagner Leonardo was out of position for Inter's third and was caught by counters, though he made important clearances. Marlon struggled against Vitinho, producing blocks but offering little support in attack.

In midfield, Arthur Melo was tightly marked and had to cover because Tiaguinho's off-ball work fell short. Dodi added bite but reduced the team's passing fluency. Cristaldo slipped Amuzu through in the first half yet lacked intensity.

Edenílson scored with sharp positioning, although creation and control remained unresolved. Amuzu found the net from Carlos Vinícius's pass, with Tetê's cross central to the move for Grêmio's first goal. Enamorado was peripheral and his dribbles largely failed.

From the bench, Willian could not shift the tempo and André arrived late with little service. Despite two changes at half-time and three more later, Luís Castro could not fix the midfield marking and the defeat was emphatic.
