Guedes shines as Turrientes orchestrates in Real Sociedad ratings | OneFootball

Guedes led the way with a superb brace as Real Sociedad impressed, with Turrientes starring and Oyarzabal scoring from the spot. AS highlights Guedes and Turrientes as the standouts.

Oyarzabal squandered two clear openings before converting a penalty for 1-0. On 15 minutes Turrientes drew a save from Sergio Herrera, then set up Guedes for 2-0. He later slalomed past three and laid on Guedes’ second for 3-0, taking the forward to eight in the league. Turrientes was booked.

Remiro made several fine stops in a complete display. Aramburu worked tirelessly, though the move for a Víctor Muñoz goal came down his flank. Caleta-Car contained Budimir, Zubeldia was solid and booked late, and Sergio Gómez offered quality from set plays and security at the back.

Soler operated deeper alongside Turrientes, recovering possession, threading passes and linking superbly with Guedes, and looks in fine form. Brais showed intent and pressed hard before going off on 62, as did Turrientes and Guedes to ovations. Barrenetxea crossed brilliantly for Oyarzabal and drew a good save from Herrera before the break, but is still short of full sharpness.

From the bench, Sucic grafted and went close from range, and Marín added energy in midfield. Yangel lasted five minutes before departing with a problem. Oskarsson held the line, threatened on the break, then faded and shot tamely wide, and he was booked.
