Guerra ends rumours, says he wants to stay at Valencia | OneFootball

Javi Guerra has moved to quell transfer talk, insisting he wants to remain at Valencia. The midfielder renewed 11 months ago until 2029 and spoke before joining Spain’s camp for sessions ahead of the squad’s trip to the United States.

“I have a contract, I renewed last year, so I think it is clear that I want to stay,” he said, speaking to El Chiringuito and Cope.

Valencia do not consider him for sale and have pointed suitors to his release clause. In recent planning meetings, Ron Gourlay has told Carlos Corberán to count on Guerra in his plans.

Turning to Spain, he expressed delight at being called up by Luis de la Fuente. “I am happy because it is a dream I have had since I was little and I hope to enjoy it.”

Guerra added: “I think Spain have a great group, especially since the Euros it was clear it has a great team and the level of the players is very high. I think it is one of the favourites, if not the main favourite, and I hope they bring the World Cup home.”
