AC Milan are ready to face Hellas Verona on matchday 33 in Serie A. The match will take place at 15:00 CEST on Sunday 19 April at the Bentegodi in Verona. The Rossoneri are aiming to bounce back from recent defeats, while Hellas Verona, under Paolo Sammarco, are also hoping to end their losing streak. We move closer to kick-off with our Match Preview.
LATEST FROM MILANELLO AC Milan come into this game on the back of mixed results. In their last two Serie A matches, the Rossoneri lost 3-0 to Udinese and 1-0 away at Napoli. Despite those setbacks, Massimiliano Allegri's side have shown moments of quality and character - key signs as they prepare to take on Hellas Verona, with the aim of getting back to scoring goals and picking up points. Everyone is available, with no suspensions or injury issues ahead of the match.
"Tomorrow is an important game to get back to winning ways against a very lively side who are physical and dangerous on the counter-attack, said Allegri ahead of the match. "Every season you go through a difficult spell, and it has to be handled calmly, going back to doing things in an organised and compact manner. There are six matches left, and this is an important game in terms of achieving our objective."
LATEST FROM HELLAS VERONA Hellas Verona head into this one on the back of four straight league defeats, with their situation in the table looking increasingly bleak. Last time out, the Gialloblù were beaten 2-1 by Torino. Despite the tough run, Paolo Sammarco's side have shown they can be competitive, as highlighted by their win over Bologna a few weeks ago. They'll be looking to use home advantage to turn things around and trouble the Rossoneri. Serdar remains a long-term absentee, while Suslov returns from suspension.
"We're facing an AC Milan side with real quality. They'll be angry and determined to get a result. It'll be a very difficult game and we'll have to match them blow for blow," said Paolo Sammarco. "We're hurt as well, but these games give you extra motivation. Tactically, we'll evaluate things right up until the last moment. We could play with two strikers or stick with our recent set-up. We've got several options."
