HexaGones, Olympique Lyonnais supporters founded in 2001, celebrated their 25th anniversary on Sunday. According to Le Progres, the group, drawn from across France and abroad, are a familiar sight in the south stand and on away days, and they also meet outside matchdays.

At Groupama Stadium, 56,000 watched OL lose 1-2 to Monaco. The tribunes came alive in the 25th minute.

In the north stand a banner appeared, styled like a birthday cake with candles.

Across the way, block 20 in the lower south corner erupted in flags and colour.

That section is home to the HexaGones, whose 25th-minute display marked their quarter-century.
