West Brom's poor run of form has led to fingers being pointed at manager Ryan Mason
West Brom manager Ryan Mason claims that he is not feeling pressure despite calls for him to lose his job.
The Baggies entered this season looking for more stability, as four different managers led them forward at different times throughout the 2024/25 campaign.
Deciding to take somewhat of a risk, Mason was appointed as the man to lead them forward, despite having never been in charge of a first-team squad on a full-time basis.
This lack of experience has been evident thus far, as West Brom have won just twice in their last 10 Championship outings, with six losses also included in that run.
The latest of these matches was a disappointing 1-0 defeat against Charlton Athletic, which saw the Addicks claim all three points via an injury-time strike from Sonny Carey.
Such a poor run of form has led to doubts creeping in from sections of the Hawthorns’ faithful, which could mean that Mason’s time in charge of Albion may already be nearing its end.

Such a precarious situation would be a lot for any manager to handle, never mind one who is still learning what it is like to take charge of a first-team squad permanently.
Although pressure from supporters may be growing on Mason, the former Tottenham Hotspur coach insists it isn’t something he is feeling.
“Pressure in football - I get up every day with passion,” stated West Brom’s boss when speaking to The Express and Star. “It doesn't feel like pressure.
“It's a passion to try to give the players as much as possible, to try to help them grow.
“But ultimately, the reality is to get results.”
West Brom’s final test before the November international break is a home clash versus Oxford United, a match which could hold massive repercussions for Mason’s future at the Hawthorns.

As the Championship rolls into its hectic winter period, momentum is key because it allows teams on form to capitalise on that and bank multiple wins in quick succession.
Alternatively, it means that sides going through a rough patch can suffer a relentless run of defeats, which can have a massive say in how the league falls out in May.
A number of sides have already decided to make a managerial change with this in mind and West Brom could soon join the likes of Sheffield United, Southampton and Watford by putting a new face in the dugout.
With the November international break coming up, West Brom have an opportunity to bed a new manager in, which isn’t a luxury they will enjoy for several months afterwards.
Therefore, it is crucial for Mason that he claims victory over Oxford United. If he doesn’t, it could be one step too far for West Brom and the 34-year-old’s time as Albion’s boss could be up.
