Denzel Dumfries has been offered to Barcelona by agent Jorge Mendes, as reports from Spain claim that a fresh injury for German goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen is providing the Catalan giants with the financial wiggle-room needed to explore a deal.
Dumfries has a €25 million release clause in his contract, active for foreign clubs until July 30, 2025. Therefore, there are still two weeks for any interested club to make an official bid for the Dutch right-back.

Initially, Barcelona were reportedly uninterested and content with their squad amid financial constraints but a fresh injury in their squad changes the complexion of the market.
A new injury for ter Stegen once again sees the German reportedly set for four months out and a potential new operation, reports from Sport, via CalcioMercato, claim.

La Liga’s financial fair play regulations state that if a player is forced to miss four months or more through injury, the club can ‘salary freeze’ 80% of his wage – theoretically giving the Catalan side €5.2 million of the German’s €6.5 million annual wage to register new players with.
Dumfries is currently on a wage of €4 million at Inter and would therefore likely be within Barcelona’s budget, should they pursue a move before the end of July.
