West Ham United are gearing up for a London derby showdown against Chelsea on Monday night, and the Hammers have been handed a massive boost ahead of the crunch clash.

Graham Potter has done reasonably well with the awful cards he’s been dealt, leading West Ham to a win, a draw, and a loss in his three Premier League games in charge thus far.

The Englishman understood the scale of the job at hand when his side fell to a 2-1 defeat against Aston Villa during his debut in the FA Cup third round.

Having held the Villans to a commendable draw at Villa Park last time out, given the circumstances, the English gaffer will be keen to get one over his former employers when he returns to his old stomping ground.

Potter has been dealing with a spate of injury issues since taking over at the London Stadium, but his odds of coming away from Stamford Bridge went up a notch with Jarrod Bowen back in the fold.

The Hammers skipper has been out with a foot injury since December and was initially ruled out until late February, but he’s made a remarkable recovery and could mark his return against Chelsea.

Bowen was assessed before West Ham’s 1-1 draw against Villa, but he didn’t pass the fitness test.

West Ham could also welcome Konstantinos Mavropanos back for Monday’s crunch showdown. He missed the trip to Villa but could start on the bench against Chelsea.

Lucas Paqueta is dealing with a slight knock but should be able to shake it off in time to face Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Potter could be without Crysencio Summerville, whose hamstring injury is proving to be more severe than expected.

Michail Antonio and Niclas Fullkrug are also long-term absentees, while defender Jean-Clair Todibo is expected to miss out with a muscle injury.

Predicted line-up

(3-4-2-1): Alphonse Areola; Vladimir Coufal, Max Kilman, Aaron Cresswell; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Tomas Soucek, Edson Alvarez, Emerson Palmieri; Mohammed Kudus, Carles Soler; Lucas Paqueta.
