Today, Santiago Bernabeu will host yet another thrilling chapter in the long-standing rivalry between Real Madrid and Barcelona.
With both sides locked in a tight battle at the top of the La Liga table, this El Clasico could have a huge impact on the title race.
Real Madrid currently sit two points ahead of the Blaugrana, and a win would allow them to move five points clear at the summit.
Los Blancos have been nearly flawless this season, winning 11 of their 12 matches across all competitions.
Their only setback came against Atletico Madrid at the end of September, a defeat that has clearly left the squad with revenge on their minds.
Real Madrid will remember last season when Barcelona claimed victories in all four encounters between the two sides, including a memorable 4-0 win at the Bernabeu in October.
Barcelona, on the other hand, have struggled with consistency. They have won three of their last five league matches but have also suffered two defeats.
Despite this, they remain strong contenders, and Sunday’s clash promises to be another classic battle.
With almost all players available, Real Madrid are ready to field a lineup that combines experience with tactical flexibility.

In goal, there is no doubt that Thibaut Courtois will start. While Andriy Lunin remains a valuable option, Courtois is the clear choice, offering reliability and experience between the posts.
For the right-back position, Xabi Alonso is expected to proceed with caution. Although Dani Carvajal and Trent Alexander-Arnold have returned to training, it seems unlikely that they will be risked.
Instead, Federico Valverde is expected to continue at right-back, providing energy and defensive stability.
At centre-back, Eder Militao and Dean Huijsen will form the central partnership, while Alvaro Carreras is set to operate at left-back.
This defensive setup balances youth and experience, ensuring Madrid remain solid at the back against Barcelona’s attacking threats.

Real Madrid’s midfield could see some changes compared to previous matches. Aurelien Tchouameni is expected to remain the pivot, anchoring the team in both defence and attack.
Eduardo Camavinga could return to the starting XI after missing out on the Juventus clash, adding his dynamic presence to the middle of the park.
Jude Bellingham, meanwhile, is slowly securing his place in the team and will continue to play a key role in linking defence with attack.
This midfield trio provides a blend of strength, vision, and pace, essential to dominate Barcelona in crucial moments.
Up front, changes are also anticipated. On the right wing, Arda Guler will replace Franco Mastantuono, bringing creativity and fresh legs to Madrid’s attack.

Vinicius Jr. will continue on the left, his pace and skill remaining irreplaceable for Los Blancos.
Leading the line is Kylian Mbappe, whose consistent scoring form makes him the focal point of Real Madrid’s offensive strategy.
With these attacking options, Madrid will look to break down Barcelona’s defence while seeking to avenge last season’s defeats.
This season’s first El Clasico promises a thrilling spectacle, with both teams aware of the high stakes.
Real Madrid are chasing a five-point advantage at the top, while Barcelona will aim to keep the title race alive.
We can certainly expect intensity, tactics, and moments of brilliance as these two giants clash once again in Spain’s most famous fixture.
