Igor Tudor left Tottenham Hotspur without a termination pay-off, according to talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club announced earlier today that they had parted with the Croatian after just 44 days in charge of Spurs.

Tudor was hired until the end of the season after replacing Thomas Frank in February, but the club did not win a league game under him, losing four and drawing one in five league fixtures.

Tottenham lost 5-2 in the first-leg of their Champions League round-of-16 tie to Atletico Madrid before winning 3-2 in the return leg.

It was Tudor’s only win in charge of Spurs, but it was not enough to keep him in charge.

The 3-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest in their last league game proved to be the final straw, and the North London club decided to part ways with the Croatian.

He was due compensation after Tottenham decided to let him go, but Tudor has opted to let it go.

Not everyone would have agreed to leave such a club before the expiration of their contract for nothing, but the former Juventus boss has shown some class.

Spurs are back in action on April 12 when they take on Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, and Tudor’s former assistant Bruno Saltor will lead training until a new managerial appointment is made.

Many managers have been linked with the Tottenham job already, and the board will be desperate to get this huge decision right.

The club are currently 17th in the league table ahead of the final seven fixtures of the season and are only one point above the relegation zone.

They cannot afford to drop down to the Championship and the players need to step up regardless of who succeeds Tudor.
