Il Tiki-Taka del maestro Xavi: ecco come l’Al Sadd sta rivoluzionando l’Asia | OneFootball

La Qatar Stars League 2020-21, all’inizio della stagione, si apprestava ad essere uno dei campionati con la lotta al vertice maggiormente equilibrata in tutto il continente.

Ad oggi non è stato così, dopo 15 giornate e con il campionato in pausa con ripresa fissata alla prossima settimana troviamo una squadra dominare letteralmente la scena qatariota: si sta parlando niente di meno che dell’Al Sadd allenato da Xavi Hernandez, ex leggenda del calcio mondiale, che dopo 18 anni in blaugrana ha deciso di fare le sue ultime corse in Qatar e che al termine della propria carriera ha deciso di proseguire per la causa per gli Al-Dheeb accettando il ruolo in panchina e rifiutando i corteggiamenti del suo Barcellona che in quel periodo si trovava in una crisi che ancora ad oggi sembrerebbe non essere terminata.

Tornando alla classifica di questo magico anno, l’Al Sadd e lo stesso Xavi cercavano riscatto dopo un anno concluso al terzo posto con una distanza di 7 punti dalla vetta. Quest’anno le cose stanno andando decisamente meglio, infatti l’Al Sadd occupa la prima posizione con 13 punti di distacco dalla seconda e rimane ancora imbattuta, oltre che avere il miglior attacco e la miglior difesa con 60 gol segnati in 15 partite. La causa? Il tipo di gioco che Xavi sta insegnando al proprio team: il leggendario tiki taka.

Diventato famoso con Guardiola nel Barcellona del 2008, sembrava che negli ultimi anni fosse destinato all’estinzione per via della presenza di un gioco più fisico che impossibilitava il corretto svolgimento, ma grazie a Xavi si sta assistendo ai giorni nostri al rewind maggiormente preciso di questo tipo di calcio, nonostante negli anni le copie siano state tantissime ma tutte senza successo.

E’ ovvio che per svolgere un determinato gioco devi avere dei giocatori all’altezza, è per questo che in Asia risulta difficile avere un bel gioco; ci hanno provato Scolari all’Evergrande, Villas Boas e Pereira a Shanghai e anche il nostro Walter Zenga tra gli Emirati e l’Arabia Saudita, ma tutti questi progetti si sono rivelati effimeri, mentre per Xavi la situazione risulta diversa visto che lui sta prendendo la golden generation del Qatar e la sta revitalizzando, da cui sicuramente troverà beneficio anche la nazionale in vista del Mondiale da host previsto per il prossimo anno.

La formazione titolare schierata da Xavi

Affianco ai giocatori talentuosi tra cui Akram Afif e Abdelkarim Hassan, pallone d’oro e vice nel 2019 è stato chiamato alla causa l’esperto Santi Cazorla che arrivato alla soglia dei 36 anni ha deciso di aiutare l’amico e connazionale alla causa, svolgendo un ruolo da giocatore guida, onnipresente in ogni reparto del campo e che nonostante l’età rimarca la sua attitudine da top player purtroppo mai affermata per via dei troppi infortuni nel periodo d’oro all’Arsenal.

La cessione di Gabi in estate ha dato dei segnali molto chiari: a Xavi non serviva un mediano di rottura ma bensì un palleggiatore e la scelta dell’investire su Cazorla ha dato i suoi frutti; la squadra gira con naturalezza e ricorda le notevoli partite del Barcellona schiacciasassi a cavallo degli anni 2010.

L’Al Sadd vince con molti gol di scarto e non si accontenta di gestire solo quando è in vantaggio, ma lo fa sempre. Giocare ad un massimo di due tocchi oltre che mettere in risalto la tecnica, fa correre molto più la palla che in pochi secondi si ritrova dalla propria area a quella avversaria come nell’ormai iconico gol segnato qualche settimana fa all’Al Gharafa.

Il reparto offensivo è molto più produttivo grazie anche all’indiscusso bomber Baghdad Bounedjah che con l’assenza dalla scena di Hamdallah si è preso di prepotenza il palcoscenico di miglior attaccante in Asia. L’algerino in queste prime 4 partite del 2021 ha segnato 11 reti. I risultati delle partite? 5-0 al Kharaitiyat, 8-0 all’ al-Sailiya, 7-0 all’al Khor e il pesantissimo 3-1 inflitto ai danni dei rivali e campioni in carica dell’Al Duhail, che probabilmente e salvo miracoli, si ritrovano a rassegnarsi al secondo posto in campionato arrivati alla metà del suo svolgimento.

Altri giocatori degni di nota sono il centrocampista tuttocampista Tae Hee Nam, sudcoreano classe ’91 che svolge un ruolo “alla Paulinho”, essendo presente in ogni reparto del campo e giocando un ruolo diverso ogni partita (ala,mediano,falso 9) ricordando il David Silva di Del Bosque in Nazionale ad Euro 2012.

Ma anche Jung Woo-Young, anch’esso sudcoreano, ma classe ’89 che con l’arrivo di Guilherme dall’Olympiacos si dava per uscente, invece Xavi aveva pensato al suo riadattamento da centrale difensivo e la cosa sta notevolmente funzionando vista la miglior difesa finora ottenuta.

Tutto ha uno scopo nel quadro disegnato da Xavi, che come qualche tempo fa disegnava geometrie assurde con i suoi piedi, ora sta mettendo le basi per quella che potrebbe essere una vera e propria rivoluzione ed opera d’arte mai vista in Asia.

To date, this has not been the case, after 15 days and with the league on break with resumption set for next week we find a team literally dominating the Qatari scene: we are talking about none other than Al Sadd coached by Xavi Hernandez, a former legend of world football, who after 18 years in the blaugrana decided to make his last runs in Qatar and who at the end of his career decided to pursue the cause for the Al-Dheeb accepting the role on the bench and refusing the courting of his Barcelona which at that time was in a crisis that still today would seem to be unfinished.

Returning to the ranking of this magical year, Al Sadd and Xavi himself were looking for redemption after a year ended in third place with a distance of 7 points from the top. This year things are going much better, in fact Al Sadd occupy the first position with 13 points behind the second and are still unbeaten, as well as having the best attack and defence with 60 goals scored in 15 games. The reason? The type of game Xavi is teaching his team: the legendary tiki taka.

Made famous by Guardiola in Barcelona in 2008, it seemed that in recent years it was destined for extinction due to the presence of a more physical game that made it impossible to play properly, but thanks to Xavi we are now witnessing a more accurate rewind of this type of football, despite the fact that over the years there have been many copies but all without success.

It is obvious that to play a certain game you have to have players who are up to it, which is why in Asia it is difficult to have a good game; Scolari tried at Evergrande, Villas Boas and Pereira at Shanghai and even our Walter Zenga at the Emirates and Saudi Arabia, but all these projects proved to be ephemeral, while for Xavi the situation is different since he is taking the golden generation of Qatar and is revitalising it, from which the national team will surely benefit in view of the World Cup to be hosted next year.

Xavi’s starting line-up

Alongside the talented players including Akram Afif and Abdelkarim Hassan, Ballon d’Or winner and deputy in 2019, the experienced Santi Cazorla has been called up to the cause. At the age of 36, he has decided to help his friend and compatriot to the cause, playing the role of a guiding player, omnipresent in every department of the field and despite his age, he emphasizes his attitude as a top player unfortunately never affirmed due to too many injuries in his golden age at Arsenal.

Playing with a maximum of two touches, as well as emphasising technique, makes the ball run much further and within seconds it is from their own area to the opponent’s, as in the now iconic goal scored a few weeks ago against Al Gharafa.

The offensive department is much more productive thanks also to the undisputed bomber Baghdad Bounedjah who, with the absence of Hamdallah, has taken the stage of best striker in Asia. The Algerian has scored 11 goals in the first four games of 2021. The results of the matches? 5-0 against Kharaitiyat, 8-0 against al-Sailiya, 7-0 against al Khor and the very heavy 3-1 inflicted against the rivals and reigning champions of Al Duhail, who probably, barring miracles, will find themselves resigned to second place in the championship having reached the halfway mark.

Other noteworthy players are all-round midfielder Tae Hee Nam, South Korean born in ’91, who plays a “Paulinho-like” role, being present in every department of the field and playing a different role every game (winger, halfback, false 9) recalling Del Bosque’s David Silva in the national team at Euro 2012.

But also Jung Woo-Young, also South Korean, but born in 1989, who with the arrival of Guilherme from Olympiacos was thought to be leaving, but instead Xavi had thought of his readaptation as a central defender and it is working remarkably well given the best defence so far.

Everything has a purpose in the picture drawn by Xavi, who as some time ago drew absurd geometries with his feet, is now laying the foundations for what could be a real revolution and work of art never seen in Asia.
