Inter have been rumored to have rekindled their dated interest in Nico Paz and even to be preparing a massive €58M offer to convince Como and Real Madrid to let him go. On the other hand, while the Nerazzurri have been high on him for quite some time, that’s not the case, Fabrizio Romano informs (via SOSFanta).

Giuseppe Marotta and co. had their best shot to set up a deal in November/December of 2024, before the starlet bloomed for good. However, he had spent only a few months with Lariani at the time, and they didn’t want to lose him during the ensuing January window.

Inter could have spent €30/35M for Nico Paz at the time, but their proposal was declined, and he became unreachable from that point on as he kept shining. He was no longer an option last summer, as Como rejected €50M plus €22M from Tottenham.

Real Madrid elected not to bring him back, allowing him to grow for another year near the lake. They have a €10M clause to do so next June, but the two clubs will likely sit down and reach a different agreement to reward the Lariani more. Los Merengues also have the right to match every offer for the Argentinian talent.

The two sides have an excellent relationship. Los Galacticos also sent young defender Jacob Ramon to the Biancoblù with the same formula.

Our Take on Inter and Nico Paz

It’s already a minor miracle that he’s still in Serie A and probably a whiff by the Spanish giants. The teams that want him will have to wait a few years and hope he somehow doesn’t make it in the Spanish capital. Como will probably get another prospect in return.
