Inter Miami internationals, June window: Messi scores, Segovia supplies two assists

According to Inter Miami, eight Inter Miami players featured for their countries during June, highlighted by Lionel Messi’s goal and Telasco Segovia’s pair of assists as teams tuned up for World Cup 2026 and the 2026 Concacaf U-20 Championship.
Messi and Rodrigo De Paul joined Argentina’s final warm-ups. Argentina beat Honduras 2-0 at Kyle Field, with De Paul on at half-time and Messi an unused substitute.
A 3-0 win over Iceland followed at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Messi converted a 72nd-minute penalty for his 117th Argentina goal, becoming their oldest scorer, and De Paul assisted the third. Argentina open Group J against Algeria on Tuesday, 16 June at 9 p.m. ET.
Dayne St. Clair came on at half-time and helped keep a clean sheet in Canada’s 2-0 win over Uzbekistan at Commonwealth Stadium. He was then an unused substitute in a 1-1 draw with Ireland. Canada begin Group B on Friday, 12 June against Bosnia and Herzegovina at 3 p.m. ET.
Telasco Segovia set up Venezuela’s goal in a 2-1 defeat to Türkiye at Inter Miami CF Stadium. He started against Iraq at SeatGeek Stadium and registered another assist in a 2-0 victory.
David Ruiz entered in the 62nd minute as Honduras lost 2-0 to Argentina.
Santiago Morales and Daniel Pinter joined the United States U-19s for camp, where the side beat Japan U-19 5-2.
Alexander Shaw earned another United States U-18 call-up. The U-18s lost 2-0 to Sweden U-18 before beating Qatar U-18 2-0, with Shaw in the starting line-up.
