Inter Miami talent Silvetti targeted by Fiorentina for 2026 | OneFootball

Fiorentina have reportedly set their sights on Inter Miami’s Argentinean forward Mateo Silvetti for the January transfer window.

The Viola are set to revolutionise their squad mid-season when new director of sport Fabio Paratici arrives from Tottenham Hotspur.

Among the areas that need to be changed are the wide attackers, and there are several candidates including Nice’s former Sassuolo man Jeremie Boga.

An intriguing option mentioned by Sky Sport Italia and Calciomercato.com is Silvetti, a right-footed player who works well on the left flank.

The Newell’s Old Boys youth academy product had already been linked with a Serie A move to Inter over the summer, but eventually joined MLS club Inter Miami for €4.2m.

Silvetti has two goals and two assists in nine games so far this season, where he is teammates with Argentina legend Lionel Messi, helping them win the MLS Cup.

His 20th birthday is next month and any deal would cost Fiorentina at least €7m to get over the line.

A regular for the Argentina Under-20 team, he scored four goals and provided one assist in nine caps.
