Inter Milan complete permanent signing of Ivan Provedel from Lazio | OneFootball

Inter Milan have completed the permanent signing of Ivan Provedel from Lazio. The club said in a statement that the 1994-born goalkeeper has agreed a three-year contract running to 30 June 2029.

The Italian champions have parted ways with Yann Sommer after a three-year collaboration. Josep Martinez has been promoted to the No.1 role, and Inter wanted an experienced deputy able to step in when needed.

Provedel was identified as the preferred option and, after weeks of negotiations, an agreement was reached on Wednesday evening.

The fee was not disclosed. Provedel is 32 and had one year remaining on his Lazio deal.

His move ends a memorable four-year spell in Rome. He matched the Serie A clean-sheet record with 21 shutouts in his first season, and scored a late Champions League equaliser against Atletico Madrid in September 2023.
