Federico Dimarco took a swipe at former Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi during his latest interview.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, Dimarco’s words in yesterday’s pre-match conference spoke volumes.
Despite never mentioning Inzaghi’s name, Federico Dimarco dropped a hint that one can catch between the lines.
Indeed, he underline his enthusiasm for an increased game time under new boss Cristian Chivu.
In doing so, he subtly contrasted his current situation with limited playing time under Simone Inzaghi.

Inzaghi made a habit of taking Dimarco off around the hour mark. Indeed, the 49-year-old had replaced the 27-year-old in 86% of his matches.
On the contrary, Dimarco has been omnipresent under Chivu.
For context, the star wingback has been on the pitch at least 80 minutes in every Serie A start this season.
However, it’s worth noting that Inzaghi was the one to launch Dimarco’s career at San Siro.
The Italian coach established Dimarco as a first-team regular. Therefore, the player’s recent statement shows Inzaghi’s cycle in Milan had run its course.
