Inter Milan stand on the brink of another historic milestone ahead of their trip to the Stadio Olimpico against Roma this weekend.
According to Opta, via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri have scored 299 Serie A goals against Roma.
Therefore, just one more would make them the first team in Italian top-flight history to reach 300 goals against a single opponent.
The statistic underlines the long-standing attacking dominance Inter have shown in this fixture over decades of meetings.

Recent history also favours Cristian Chivu’s side, with Inter unbeaten in their last eight away games against Roma – recording five wins and three draws in that stretch.
Even more impressively, Inter have won four consecutive matches at the Olimpico, their best-ever run in Rome.
Furthermore, new Roma head coach Gapserini had a poor record against Inter whilst he was in charge at Atalanta.
With Chivu’s men in free-scoring form this season, Saturday’s clash could well see Inter write another page of club history.
