Former Liverpool player Jermaine Pennant suggested selling Mohamed Salah next summer and replacing him with younger winger.

Pennant shares his view on Salah’s future

Former Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant has advised the club to consider selling Mohamed Salah during the next summer transfer window especially if a big offer arrives from Saudi Pro League.

Salah’s future at Liverpool has been widely discussed this season, with the Egyptian forward now 33 year old and facing questions about his recent form.

According to Pennant, the upcoming summer could be the right moment for the club to make a major decision regarding the star winger.

Big offer could change Liverpool’s plans

Speaking in comments reported by Rousing The Kop, Pennant said Liverpool should accept a large transfer fee if Saudi clubs submit strong offer.

He explained that if proposal between £75 million and £100 million arrives, the club should consider selling Salah and reinvesting the money in a younger attacking player.

Pennant believes such a deal would allow Liverpool to refresh their squad while still maintaining attacking quality.

Possible replacements for Salah

Pennant suggested two main option to replace Salah at Anfield. The first is Bradley Barcola, the young winger currently playing for Paris Saint Germain.

The second is Michael Olise, the talented attacker now at Bayern Munich.

Both players are viewed as dynamic wingers who could bring speed and creativity to Liverpool’s attack in the coming years.

Reports have also linked the club with Yan Diomande, a winger from RB Leipzig whose transfer value is believed to be around €100 million.
