Anthony signs a four-year deal with the club option of an extra year and becomes Brentford’s second signing of the summer after Austrian centre-back Jannik Schuster.

Brentford are reported to have paid a fee of up to £17m including add-ons for Anthony, who scored eight goals in 37 Premier League appearances for relegated Burnley.

The 26-year-old returns to London after coming through the academy at Arsenal before joining Bournemouth’s youth setup in 2016.

Anthony has made 70 Premier League appearances across spells with Bournemouth and Burnley, scoring 11 goals and providing five assists.

He will provide competition on the left wing for Kevin Schade and bolster Brentford’s frontline following the departure of Arsenal loanee Reiss Nelson at the end of last season.

Brentford remain in the market for attacking reinforcements and are reportedly close to sealing a deal for veteran striker Callum Wilson.

On Anthony’s arrival, head coach Keith Andrews said: "We’re delighted to be able to sign Jaidon.

"We’ve been aware of Jaidon’s journey for a long, long time and have always admired him from afar.

"He did really well last season, which is difficult in a team that got relegated.

"After meeting him, it became very evident that he’d fit into the culture of the club and add to the squad.
