Leeds United held Manchester United at Elland Road, moving eight points clear of the relegation places and extending their unbeaten run to seven.
Brenden Aaronson put Leeds ahead, but the visitors quickly levelled, leaving Daniel Farke’s side with a point.
“I would say so for sure. Today, we also missed some key players for us; it’s a big one as well for sure. I think we showed again that we can compete against everyone. So when we are fully fit and 100% healthy, I think we can play really hard football against everyone and hope to win at the end. If we can continue to show these performances, to improve the performances, I think we will have a good season ahead.” He told LUTV.
There was frustration too: “I think we are not satisfied with this draw today. I think we wanted to win.”
Bijol, a summer signing from Udinese, had to wait for his chance but has flourished since the switch to a back three. With defensive leader Joe Rodon out injured, he stepped up with eight clearances, five duels won and five recoveries against Manchester United.
